Prayers for the Rocky cat!!!!

This was a post I put in the other blog about the Rocky cat!  Unfortunately we had to have him put to sleep on June 25th of this year.  It was really difficult for Greg, and I.  Greg was really close to the Rocky cat.  However, he had been so sick for over a year, and his steroids weren't helping him any longer.  He couldn't eat, and was starving himself.  When he did try to eat, he'd throw it up.  So it was time.  We loved him, so we had to send him back to God.  It was hard because he was so young, but we had to give him back to God early.  Maybe he was too good for this crazy world, and God wanted him back earlier than most?  This is a post I wrote about him and 1 time he was really sick.  This was the very first time he was so sick, that I truly didn't know that he'd make it.  He did that time, our vet pulled him through that time.  It was bad though.

Prayers for the Rocky cat!!!!

I've written in here about the Rocky cat being sick a few times.  It seems that things have gotten worse now.  Worse than ever.

He would go about every 2 to 3 months for veterinary care for not eating, diarrhea, and vomiting.  He had to spend nights there, 2 or 3 nights, but they always brought him back.  The last few times this happened the steroid shot was enough, I was able to bring him home.  After a few days he'd eat on his own.  At first our vet believed it to be a nasty virus, but after it kept going on, they determined it to be inflammatory bowel disease.

They have been giving him a steroids shot since October.  Well last Tuesday they had to give him that shot again.  Well after 2 days he still wasn't eating.

We took him in to the Animal hospital all of the animals go too Thursday night.  Well, they kept Rocky.  We decided to have them run a urine analysis, an ex-ray, and do a blood work up on him.

The ex-ray shoed his intestinal wall to be inflamed, but that was all.  Probably because his intestines are inflamed, that was no shock.  Then the blood shoed he may have pancreatitis.  DR. Erman did tell me the steroid shot he had had on Tuesday could mess up the blood results.  The Poor Rocker!!!!  Rocker!!!

On Friday he had not eaten for them.  Well, when I called this morning DR. Erman told me he was allowing them to force feed them.  He said he wasn't resisting them from feeding him, but he was showing no interest in eating on his own.

It doesn't look good for the Rocky cat right now.  I'm supposed to call and talk to the vet tomorrow.  I'll write and tell what the vet tells me.  The hope is that he'll begin eating on his own.  Oh how I hope so!  I won't let him starve though.  We'll hope he will get better.  Even if things look glum now, we can still hope for the best.  We're saying lots and lots of prayers for the Rocky cat!  Rocker!  Our little Rocker!!!
